You are looking at one of the cleanerLouis Marx 6" tinplate cars we have come across. This is a Bessemer and Lake Erie boxcar in the lighter medium brown. As you can see, it is all here, and it looks great. There are some light scratches here and there and wear in the black base.
The Bessemer cars are normally very collectible--they are like the 6464 boxcars of the Marx world. There are all kinds of variations, most notably color. You have colors, doors, graphics, print color, etc. This one is a lighter brown with white lettering. This version is reported as having been produced in 1940.
There are a few different shades of brown: caramel, medium brown, dark brown. This one is a medium brown, a lighter shade than the dark brown. Make sure you have them all.
