A nice starter set from 1958. The box is weak with lots of tape and some paper loss. The engine looks like new. The tender shell has a few small track burn marks; however, the tender shell is common and can be easily replaced

Complete. The set box is all here, but it is rough. There is some top layer paper missing, lots of tape, softjness, and age-related discoloration. The tray is inside, and that is good. The tray dows show a stain.

The 4-4-2 steam engine and tender have been serviced and tested, and it does run, reverse, smoke and choo-choo. We always recommend servicing/lubing these old engines that have been sitting. Good numbers and lettering.
