INTERESTING VARIATION NOT OFTEN SEEN
You are looking at a beautiful Northern Pacific Railroad diesel streamliner DIESEL in American Flyer's famous two rail S scale.
Normally this engine has plastic steps. Less common in this one year only model is the METAL steps. The unit you are looking at is the less common METAL step version.
This engine headed the North Coast Limited in 1958 with the four passenger cars. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE OTHER NORTH COAST SET WITH THE AAS, SET 20370, SEE OUR OTHER LISTINGS.
INTERESTING FACT: This is the last time the Northern Pacific PA was used with passenger cars by American Flyer.
- Pull-Mor power
- Six wheel trucks die cast side frames
- Metal Chassis and steps
- Two position reverse
- Operating knuckle couplers
- Metal frames
THE 21551 PA Northern Pacific diesel
Very clean. Nice patina in the paint. SHARP. If you look super close, you can see a little bt of handling in the white near the nose, and there are some scratches on the top of the nose in the plastic. The scratches on the nose-top are not that obvious in real life, but we made it obvious for you in the pics--way more obvious than in person.
Tested and runs, reverses.
