Made for S, but great for O as well
IF COSMETIC CONDITION MATTER, THIS IS FOR YOU.
You are looking at a clean American Flyer accessory. This is the ORIGINAL whistling billboard, allowing you to have a nice loud steam whistle on the layout. Made for your S scale train. Many O gaugers I know love the look and ease of these as well. The billboard features the classic Santa Fe in the foreground and a steam engine behind it.
Comes with the box, a COPY of instructions and the original button.
You know when you usually come across these, that they are in rough condition cosmetically. Not this one. Aside from the weak box, you could put it with a boxed set and be happy.
CONDITION: C-7+ maybe C-8. Hard to find the billboard any cleaner than this. Serviced and working. Has a few spots towards the top of the billboard, but you have to be close to see. Cosmetically VERY Clean (C-8++) with nice patina on the green paint. It is not perfect, as if you look hard you may find a very small paint nick or rub, but overall, it is a beauty.
The billboard image looks nice as well. Just a tiny bit of handling evident in the white frame of the billboard. Includes a whistle button that is as clean as you will find as well as a COPY of original instructions. The original BOX is here but very weak. It is coming apart at the corners and the top flap is detached. If you would like us to restore for you buy using professional tape on the inside of the box, let us know.
