Here is a vintage American Flyer operating merchandise boxcar car from 1952-53. You can run this car with anything--but it is also the one that was issued for use with the baggage loader accessory. So if you have a car-less baggage platform accessory, you'll want this. Even if you don't, you'll want to add the merhandise action to your layout.
The car can sling merchandise cubes or milk cans. We have put four exact reproduction merchandise cubes with it.

These cars came in a few different varieties. THIS one is the tuscan version--interesting! It was issued 1952-53.
