You are looking at a desirable addition to your American Flyer collection. This is the collectible and classic American Flyer Lines action boxcar, a great looking boxcar that seems to fit with any era. And it reminds you of those classic boxcars that came with those deluxe sets in the old days.

This is the earlier version of the action boxcar from 1953-54, labelled American Flyer Lines. You can use cans, barrels, or merchandise cubes. Although it was made to use with the K775 baggage unloader, I have included some crates, a button, instructions, and a track activator in case you just wanted to use it on its own! Throw those packages at the station, a platform, or a factory!

The 974 was the version issued for the K775 baggage loader accessory. So if you have one of those, and you want to match it up with a clean 974, HERE YOU GO. But this beauty is good on is own as well.

Did you know this is a car Flyer issued using the milk car guts?

Would look great with steam or diesel consist. It is a true classic from the earliest years of knuckle couplers.

​CONDITION: C-7. Excellent condition. Very clean car. Small mark in the white print of one number on one side. You can see a few tiny rubs here and there, just enough to see a hint of the black base underneath. The figure inside MAY be reproduction--I am not sure. With crates. With original button, but the button does show wear. With instructions.
