Here is a neat BURLINGTON diesel GP-35 by Athearn. Tested and works. This beauty rarely pops up for sale on ebay--have not seen one in a long time.
This one is a blue box era item. Its original catalog number was 4203, and the engine started life as a #989. The last owner removed the first 9 to make it engine number "89."
CONDITION: C-6. Tested and runs. Very smooth runner. Trucks and base show a very light weathering. Shell has little prong hole chips where it secures to base --one side is worse than the other. The shell still stays on. but it s a little loose. No horn over the cab. Check out all of the detail on this one. Has the metal railings. There are no handrails on either end. Wheels show that it has had some run time--you may want to clean them. No box.
This one is running nice, but it is always a good idea to lubricate these used locomotives before extensive run time since we do not know how long they have been sitting.
