You are looking at an interesting American Flyer COMPLETE set from 1948-49 called the New York Central Freight Train. This one is interesting because it features the 322AC with the brass weighted coupler and cars to match.
It is a neat set featuring a great die cast steam engine and some nice freight cars. This is not a set you see all that often, and one that really makes a splash with the searchlight car and the dump car following behind the impressive diecast Hudson.
This is A LOT of vintage train for the money, and an item you will be proud of. Or perhaps you have an American Flyer collector.
Please take the time to read the whole description below before bidding. We took time in writing it for you.
Here is a detailed breakdown of each item for your consideration:
THE 322AC Hudson 4-6-4 New York Central NYC
C6. Clean. It does have some rubs here and there. Wheels do show some run time. Numbering on loco is good with just a little bit of wear in the white.
INTERESTING: Believe to be an early 1949 as it still has the 1948 brass weighted link couplers, and not sure they made the 322AC in 1948.
Tested and runs, reverses, smokes, and choo-choos. Serviced.
The original box is here, with nice visible stamping on it. Box comes with the INNER LINING. SOme edge wear, etc on outer box.

THE 716 OPERATING COAL DUMP CAR
The car has good patina, but there are paint chips here and there. There is paint loss on one of the ends of the base. Couplers are complete. It comes with the original button and track section for activation.
Comes in a VERY interesting BLUE and YELLOW box for this car.
THE 634 C&NW FLOODLIGHT CAR 42597
The car is clean. Does have some knicks here and there, but overall, a clean car. Does have some of the white chemical on the underside.
Box is here with some wear. Stamping is visible.
THE 629 MISSIOURI PACIFIC STOCK CAR
The car is clean. Slotted sides. Decent lettering. Couplers/trucks are complete. One door has come off; it needs a door guide. I could have subbed it, but I like to keep everything together, so instead, if you prefer another MoPac cattle link car, let me know, and I will be happy to include!
BOX is here with a little wear and good stamping.
THE 630 LIGHTED CABOOSE
The car is clean. Some playwear.
Nice patina. Box is here.
Please look at pictures to see conditions. Some are misisng flaps. Most have the item name and number legible.
THE SET BOX 4611A
The box is all here but has some structural softness. There is writing on it from the old days. The label is good with the original set stamping number still legible. Some wear and tears, but complete.
