LONG RETIRED and OUT OF PRODUCTION
This is a really good looking and very nice G scale steam engine ready for duty. This one was produced in Bachmann's higher end line, Spectrum. This is the Bachmann Spectrum 82198 G Scale 38-Ton Two-Truck Shay unlettered with red and white trim. This undecorated version of the Shay is similar to the famous Ely Thomas. You can run this one in DC, DCC, or even BATTERY mode if that is what you like to do. This is a very versatile engine. BE SURE TO READ THE MANUAL TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT.
This is one of the more unique steam engines produced in G scale. This is the Bachmann Spectrum 38ton two truck shay steam engine with the awesome vertical drivers. Many G scalers say that this engine is one of the better pullers.
This one makes an impression with a capital I whether on the shelf or steaming down the pike.
This one came DCC Ready from the factory, but it looks like it has been outfitted with a decoder, pictured below, in blue. You be the judge. The sound works great even in DC mode. Boards are probably from around 2010, the rough date this was new.
