You are looking at one of the classic art deco styled Type V transformer from the 1940s. It was made prewar 1939-1942 and then again postwar 1945-47.
Great with ANY AC trains including Marx, Lionel, and even AMERICAN FLYER,
The Type V for example has 150 watts and 4 channels.
The best thing is it has up to 24 VOLTS! This is the power you need for big engines, beefy prewar, and especially STANDARD GAUGE.
We will include a copy of instructions.
CONDITION: The faceplate has been restored and looks as close to new as you will find--Hubba Hubba! There are a few small very small imperfections from the original plate underneath. Just serviced and replaced the old cord with a new cord. Looks good. The case is real nice. The base has scratches on the underside but no rust. Tested and works. With a COPY of the original instructions. Check out the pictures and be sure to enlarge.
