The patina on all pieces is fantastic.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe ENGINE has been tested and runs, reverses and lights. Some of the brass trim has very light oxidation. Along the very outer lip edge on one side, there is an engine roof edge rub in paint. There are some scratches and wear in the brass doors.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAll CARS light up.  Car stamping is nice and legible--some stamps stronger than others, some a little light, but all look good. One car has a small dot sized paint nick. One has paint chips on the edge of the roof on one end. One of the baggage car doors has a few vertical scratches. One door in the baggage car does not slide as smoothly as the others.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBOXES: Set box shows stains and usual wear but is good structurally good. Individual boxes are nice with very light wear. Clear print for each box. Boxes are complete.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOverall, you will not find a standard gauge set this nice.
