You are looking at a Lionel instant classic!  Turn any of your steam engines--from 1946 to now--into a POLAR EXPRESS with this Polar Express tender complete with whistle (just like the old postwar ones).   It is working and in great shape.  It has no box. 

Maybe you want to add whistle to the steam engine on your loop; maybe you want to replace a broken one (heck, this is cheaper than a repair!).
