You are looking at a classic steam engine from 1929-31. This is one nice engine and tender that is running. It may have been rewheeled at some point, but I cannot tell for sure.
THIS unit is an original Lionel unit from the 1920s.

CONDITION: Tested and runs but the e-unit is finicky. It does cycle, but it gets stuck in a position. While it does run, you will want to take care of this if you do more than run in forward. Front truck may be repro--I am not sure. Wheels may be repro--there is no embossing on the inside. Missing two stanchions for railing (available repro). Headlight works. There is some metal deterioration on the boiler front. This is pictured. The tender is missing the railings on each front corner (available repro)
