
Here is the biggest transformer available in the prewar and early postwar era. This is a vintage Lionel Type Z transformer. The Z is one of the most powerful made in toy train land--it has 250 watts of power and four controllers. Just...WOW. Has a great vintage 1940's look and feel. This one has been tested here at Lone Star Trains and is doing everything it should. It was made 1945-47.

CONDITION: Tested and works. Unit is clean with some scuffs on faceplate and a just a few here and there in the bakelite. Faceplate is original and looks really good. All four controls tested and work. Control knobs have some light play wear. Cord is good. Looks nice. BOX has a faded label, but it is COMPLETE. Check out the INSERTS inside the box! Can provide a COPY of the original instructions upon request. It makes a little noise, quietly humming as they all do.
