HARD TO FIND!
You are looking at a great very early MTH item from 2002. This is one of the harder to find MTH items. It is the PA-1 AA unit Texas Special, a powered A and a dummy A. WITH a COPY of instructions not pictured. This set of AAs were released in the Rail King line, engineered to be able to run on 0-31 and up and to match up more to the traditional cars and engines. This set has Protosounds 2 so you can use your DCS if you want. Or run conventional-your call.
Note that these are a little more realistic paint schemes than the Lionel postwar one we all love so much. These have the yellow more like the real thing.

Operates On O-31 Curves
As you know, MTH Premier items are compatible with just about any O guage, but they go especially nice with Lionel Standard O and Atlas O. It runs on any three rail track whether by Lionel, MTH, Atlas, Gargraves or Ross Custom Switches.
CONDITION: C-7. Tested and runs. Sounds work. Cosmetically looks good but there ARE a few rubs and scratches from use. 154A has a small dent under the front coupler, a paint scratch on the nose, and a few rubs from handling. 157C has a few rubs some light wear in the white but is generally sharp.
