Here is a vintage and interesting American Flyer steam whistle control unit. This one was made in 1955-56 to add whistle sound for your steam locomotives with the whistle in the tender. It has a lever rather than a button. Some folks like this unit much more than the more common 708. Perhaps more importantly, the set you are making may require this unit (such as the 5550W). Some folks say that this one produced a better whistle.

This unit came out in 1955 and 1956.

CONDITION: Looks nice. Does show some wear in the form of scratches and playwear.
