This is the awesome articulated Southern Pacific 2-8-8-4 steam engine that was one of the earliest beasts Williams produced in BRASS.
This is an early BRASS three rail 1/48 SCALE engine that WIlliams produced when everyone else was still doing postwar reruns. It did NOT come with digital sounds as that was not the norm yet at the time. It DOES have two Seuthe smoke units, really cool lighted marker headlights, and some nice detail. It has reverse of course.
This was the first time the 2-8-8-4 had been produced in O gauge.
This one has the original instructions which are surprisingly hard to come by.
It runs conventionally with any of your AC transformers. It does not have DCS or any other digital system.

CONDITION: C-7+ maybe C-8. Looks real good. Tested and runs, reverses and smokes. If you look super close, there may be a very small scratch or paint rub/nick here and there, but for the most part, it looks fantastic. Some general handling wear in other places but looks great. BOX shows wear, some moisture damage on a corner as pictured, a little separation, etc. Has inner styrofoam to keep it nice and safe. WITH the elusive original instructions. Also with original extra traction tires and Seuthe smoke fluid.
