HARD GAME TO FIND!! RARELY SEEN FOR SALE.
You are bidding on a BRAND NEW SEALED IN THE BOX 18New England: The Growing Power of American Railroads Game by Scott Petersen and Brigette Indelicato. This is a very desirable railroad empire/finance game to come by.
18New England heads north of New York City to see how the New Haven, Hartford, and Boston railrods started. The game starts with a draft of minor companies. These companies can grow into major companies by either converting or merging with other companies.
18New England puts the company presidents in control of managing the issuance of shares. Even though this is a "partial capitalization" game (companies are funded as shares are bought), the IPO shares always fund the par value. Clever players may find that they can take advantage of this by issuing many shares to depress the stock prices (making the shares cheap to buy) and then turn around and buy the IPO shares that fund the company treasury at the higher par value!
