This customized 1033 transformer was one of the really cool items available at the Train Collectors Association 2026 National Convention in limited quantity. It was available at the Welcome Party Auction and the Marketplace to benefit the host Lone Star Division.

This is a vintage Lionel 1033 transformer that features the 2026 National Convention Logo. If you wanted to commemorate that week, if you collect TCA National Convention items, or if you are a transformer collector, this one is for you.

The 1033 is one of the staples of better sets in the postwar era--this is the 90 watt transformer that comes with direction control as well as whistle control. It was a big step up from the 25-45 watt transformers that came with many sets.
This is a fine transformer to use with any postwar set whether Marx, Lionel, even American Flyer. And those black and orange handles really take you back!
