This is the awesome auxiliary tender to add to your Southern Pacific Daylight GS-4 steam engines such as your 4449. Adding the auxiliary tender makes it that much more realistic! THIS is technically known as auxiliary water tender. MTH released this one in 2000 and called it Southern Pacific Premier Auxiliary Tender 3.
Comes with an operating Proto-Coupler especially made for the Premier GS-4 tender.
Designed so that steam locomotives could travel longer distances without having to stop for additional water and fuel, auxiliary tenders played an important role in helping to reduce cost and save time.
