This special tank car release was part of the 2003 Dealer Appreciation Package (DAP) by MTH.
Each year, MTH made a brochure's worth of trains available in packages to DEALERS as a dealer special. These items came in a blue box and were called Dealer Appreciation Packages.
In 2003, in addition to the O gauge offerings, MTH put this G gauge 1/32 car in the package. It has a 20- number, usually reserved for 1/48 scale three rail instead of the usual 70- of the One Gauge 1/32 line.
MTH calls its G gauge 1/32 line One Gauge.
CAT items in trains is hard to come by and very hot.
CONDITION: BOXED, C-9. Item looks like new inside the original box. The box acrylic window has yellowed, but the car and box are in crisp shape. With instructions.
