GREAT WITH ANY AC SUCH AS O or S Gauge
Interesting variation
Here is a nice CLEAN Lionel postwar original LW transformer. Can you think of another Lionel transformer that has as much power flowing through ONE line?? Even the ZW has the power divided by 4. This one has 125 watts going through one channel. AND it has the retro and totally vintage looking lighted dial.
This one also pumps up to 18 volts, a bit more than most traditional AC transformers such as the 1033. This makes the LW a good choiuce for those bigger engines and even prewar trains.
It is so much easier to push a button for the whistle and direction rather than to twist a handle! This was a well engineered transformer from the thick of the Golden Era--1957-1958.
Two different features:
- Some of the LWs have a little UL sticker on them where the circular depression is for the UL casting. This one has that little sticker.
- This one also has the DARK green lens cap--like VERY dark green!
It has
- The famous lighted dial
- Clear handle
- controls for whistle
- and direction
- and best of all, 125 watts
- Circuit breaker
-
Constant voltage output terminal post
- ORIGINAL plug and cord
