Very Hard to Find Powered A Unit 1962 only Black Apron?!
This is one of the harder to find postwar items--even more so in clean condition!
This one is from 1962 and was only in ONE set, #11232. It is the traditionally sized Alco style diesel that can run on 027 and wider.
This unit has a black painted pilot (or apron). It is so well done that it is hard to tell if it was done at the factory for some reason or by an individual. The lines are straight, and the paint is solid. We have provided pictures of the inside of the shell for you as well so that you can see everything and decide for yourself. DO not forget to go all the way to the bottom of the liusting for more pictures.
This one is clean with a few small exceptions. Great printing. This piece is hard to come by in the nicer conditions.

CONDITION: C-7. Tested and runs, reverses, lights. Looks great. Mostly nice white lettering. Does have a few rubs where you can see the gray body mold, as pictured, such as on the back edge, along the bottom edge, on a roof hatch, and a few other specs. There is a tiny micro-nick on one side, below the cab on the bottom edge, showing a speck of the gray body mold. Some paint rubs/nicks in the black apron where you can see the orange plastic beneath. It is still nicer than most we have seen, and has a nice patina.
