Here is a Lionel 2672 brown caboose from 1941-1942.

The books do not show this version with the Type IV-E truck which I believe is from the later 1930's.  This is the variation featuring:

  • tinplate
  • Pennsylvania roadname
  • Type IV-E truck with the two long screws on one end
  • Brakewheels
  • Stamped underneath

CONDITION: C-6. Looks good. Evidence of playwear. Backside of wheels shows oxidation and surface rust. Some oxidation and light wear on the caboose sides. Clean stamping on underside. Truck is interesting variation.
