Interesting crooked stamping
It always interests me when cars with errors got out of the factory. This one has a crooked stamping on side where the lettering is slanted and not entirely on the flat car side. It is normal on one side but obviously misstamped on the other side.
This Lionel 6561 flat with the die cast depressed center base with orange cable reels is another example where Lionel used and existing flatcar style (the depressed center flatcar), mounted a new load onto it and produced a nice freight car. The end result was a freight car which looked realistic and impressive on a layout. Did you know that the loads came in a few different colors and variations? Make sure you have them all.
