You are looking at a unique American Flyer accessory from 1950, the Oil Supply Depot. You can see the "50" stamp on the underside of the base.
This is another of those fantastic accessories that Gilbert ingeniously used from other parts, in this case the Shell tank cars, and that ubiquitous red and white shack. But what a great accessory to have for your railroad yard, oil field or refinery.
CONDITION: C-6/C-6+. Overall complete and looks nice. There is some paint chipping on the base, as you can see, mostly limited to one small area but there are a few other flakes. The metal piping is a little stiff. The one by the shack moves pretty well. The one on the end by the tanks needs a little more lubrication to swivel. The rest of the unit looks quite nice.
