INTERESTING NOTE: While the Lionel stock photo on the web and instruction booklet show a two link chain for the front pilot, the actual release did not include it. I have not seen one yet in person that had it.

CONDITION: C-7+ some may call C-8, excellent plus close to like new. Let's get picky: The cut lever pilot bar looks like it has been glued back on (very minimal evidence; hard to see). There are a few very small paint chips on the front pilot. One screw has surface rust. Rollers show very minimal runtime. Cosmetically looks beautiful. Tested and works great. Engine box shows some shelfwear such as white scratches and rubs and some corner paper separation. The engine sits nice and snug inside the styrofoam container which has been partially modified for an even safer fit. The top styrofoam seems a hair misaligned from the factory when it is sitting on the bottom half. With instructions and all the extras you see. All pictured here.
