Here is a nice large New York Central hopper, about 8 1/2 inches long. It has Marx tilt couplers and four wheel trucks.
I believe this car could have started life as a NYC crane car and been modified to be this awesome army flat car. The flat DOES have a riveted tab assembly right in the center with the metal tabs that hold each truck to the car, much like most O gauge flats with automobiles, etc.
Whether original or modified, it is a unique and very cool car to have in the collection!
The loads are either original Marx or reproductions of Marx--I cannot tell for sure. Marx did make these models.
CONDITION: C-7. All here. Some rust on wheels (up to you to keep, clean or replace). Flat is nice with good printing. Loads are nice. in like new condition. Loads may be repro--not sure.
