Scarce and UNIQUE Reference
O GAUGE SETS PREWAR AMERICAN FLYER
You are looking at an interesting reference that was self-published by a collector who listed all the Prewar O gauge American Flyer sets that he knew about. He researched the sets using catalogs from American Flyer and AC Gilbert, Butler Brothers, T. Eaton Company, Granger Company, Hub Cycle and Radio Co., Levin Brothers, Montgomery Wards, Sears, Roebuck and Co., N. Shure Company, John M. Smyth Merchandise Co., G. Sommers and Company, and Charles William Stores.
The author collected and used the information, but unfortunately there is NO designation in the listings where the data for each set came from, ie. where each set was sold.
The book is approximately 18 one-sided pages, staple bound.
A fantastic reference to have!! Not sure this info is available anywhere else.
Most of the book is typed columns including the years, Set number/name, locomotive, tender, and cars. Simple but informative!
You can NEVER have enough REFERENCES for identifying and collecting. THIS is a scarce one that was NOT mass produced.
Sure to be a unique and important addition to your train collecting...this resource is not often offered--get it now.
