The BCRL is a 9-volt battery replacement module designed for certain Lionel locomotives and engines that originally used a 9V battery for features such as:
Many older Lionel engines rely on a standard 9V battery for backup power, but as those batteries age or leak, they can damage the train. And of course, you have to remember to change them out before they go bad or leak. The BCRL is a drop-in replacement unit that eliminates the need for a disposable battery while maintaining the same functionality.
NOTE: The BCR-L DOES require some light hobby skill in installing as there are wires that need to be attached via the connectors included here.
