You know the story on the NEW ZWs...a nice item, but in the 5-6 hundred dollar range, and not even available some parts of the year! Why not go for a classic: much less in price, and MUCH EASIER TO GET SERVICED!!
Here is a nice CLEAN Lionel postwar original ZW transformer. This one may be the cleanest we have had. It has been tested here at Lone Star Trains and is ready to play with NOW.
This one is in the YELLOW BOX which is the rarer of the boxes...from 1958-59.

This ZW transformer is the most powerful transformer Lionel made back in the day. This is the iconic transformer you remember from the 1950s and that you saw on the Addams Family. It has remained the style everyone wants and remembers. It has 250 watts of power and has four variable controls, (two of which have the whistle and direction controllers) so you can run trains and lots more with this one power supply. Use one or two of the circuits for accessories!
CONDITION: C-7+ perhaps C-8. Serviced and clean. Among the cleaner ones we have had. Serviced, tested and works. Cord and plug are good. Lettering has minimal fade. A few stray rubs here and there.
BOX is P-6 showing some paper rubs, white stain and wear. Some discoloration. The top inserts are part of the top flaps and keep everything together well. With the original instructions.
