You are looking at a stunning ADD ON CAR for the 1989 Classics #13403 Standard Gauge passenger set known as the State Set by collectors. This "Illinois" #1414 is exactly what you need to complete that great two-tone green set whether prewar, Classics or Tinplate Traditions.
It was only promoted in a 1989 Stocking Stuffers flyer--not in a catalog.
It came with two weights to place inside the car if you needed them. This is likely due to the need for traction when you add a fourth car to that bog standard gauge consist!
This one is a beautiful two tone green just like the Classics series set. It has nice detail.
