The 653 Pullman Combination
You are looking at an interesting American Flyer passenger car from 1949-52. This car is complete and clean. Put it behind that Northern ("Challenger") or the Hudson. What a train! These Heavyweights always look great; the more the merrier. This is the combination, aka combine, part baggage, part passenger.
There are a few variations of this car, and this one is
- Tuscan (vs. Red or Green)
- unpainted plastic shell (vs. painted red or green)
-
link coupler, black weight
-
red doors
-
Block printing (versus serif)
We do have two other cars--652 and 654-- from this set listed spearately right now if you are quick enough. We listed separately due to slight condition variations and customer request. They came to us from different collections.
CONDITION: C-6+. Some rubs, a little discoloration, and some lettering is rubbed. Has some wear, pictured up close, that may be signs of a factory touch up or other sort of wear. Some spotting in the finish as pictured--hard to see in person, but can see in the close up pics. Lights up. Look at pics and decide for yourself. Does show signs of playwear and handling, but still a nice car.
