VERSION FROM 1953 ONLY--190 WATTS
You are looking at a vintage American Flyer #18B transformer. The 18B is one of the most powerful made in toy train land. This unit is often found with 175 watts, but in 1953 only it had 190 watts. This one has 190 watts of power through two channels. This unit has been serviced tested here at Lone Star Trains and is doing everything it should.
One of the nice things about Flyer transformers is that they have an on/off toggle switch so that unlike Lionel transformers, you can leave it plugged in and turn it off.
In addition, this one has the Deadman Control so that you can pull up on the lever to stop the train (or cycle your reverse unit). This was a neat toy train take on the real engineer cab experience.
This one features:
- built in circuit breaker
- American Flyer's famous "Dead Man's Control"
-
190 watts of power
- Two controls enabling separate control
-
Constant voltage options (great for accessories)
