Here is a Lionel #112 Standard Gauge gondola. Lionel produced this number from 1910-1926, but based on the variations, I would place this one in the 1920s.
These look great in a long line--on the layout!!!
Did you know that there are a few versions of this car:
THIS car is Type 4, variation A in the Greenberg classifications.
That means:
- Is the GRAY body version
- Has BLACK PRINT
- Has the top edge rolled in a "rolled rim" with
- Dark Green paint on rim
- Lionel Corp era Data lines under the number
- Type Vb trucks
- Car number and Lionel Corporation info stamped on the underside
Do you have this particular version? Be sure you have them all!
Sure to be an attention-getter in the prewar collection.
CONDTION: C-5+. Good printing on sides and bottom. Paint chips as you can see in the pictures. We will pack carefully, but it could flake a little in shipping. Some rust on the lip of one end, as pictured. Complete couplers, trucks, and wheels, all of which are clean.
