You are looking at a classic electric engine from 1923-27. This is one of those engines that graces the cover of the price guides or magazines. The #402 Standard Gauge electric engine is DUAL MOTORED. Each truck is motorized.

THIS unit is an original Lionel unit from the 1920s with some parts replaced. It has been rewheeled with new gears. Some cosmetic parts are likely reproduction as well. We have serviced the motors and rewired where necessary. You are ready to go.

As you can see, there are significant scratches on the paint and number plates. The paint is original on the original shell with all its experience. Some cosmetic parts may be modern reproduction.
