This is the classic 1950 Lionel 4-6-4 Hudson released for the 50th Anniversary of Lionel Trains.
This is one of the classic pieces that everyone wants! It is a big die cast engine with a twelve wheel tender.
Includes instructions 773-132 11-50. The instructions show creases and wear.
While this item was tested, and it runs, reverses, smokes, and whistles as it should, we did not service it as we know many collectors like to do that sort of thing themselves to items of this caliber.
We have left the patina original--some sellers love to Armor All these, but we like to leave the decision to you!
CONDITION: C-6+ very good plus. Tested and runs, smokes, and whistles. The engine has a few paint nicks here and there but looks good overall. Some very light rust on a screw or two. Paint is overall really nice. Has likely been rewired at some point as I can see a yellow wire inside the locomotive (not sure that was factory). The tender shows a little more wear with some white spots, rubs, paint nicks, and very light rust visible. Tender base does not have visible number stamp--may be repro. Tender whistle works. Comes with original instructions.
