You are looking at the biggest transformer available in the postwar era.
This is a vintage American Flyer #22090 transformer. The 22090 is one of the most powerful made in toy train land--it has 350 watts of power and two controllers. Just...WOW. This one has been tested here at Lone Star Trains and is doing everything it should. It was made 1959-64.
EVEN BETTER, unlike any postwar Lionel transformers, this one came with some neat three position reverse switches--one for each circuit!

CONDITION: JUST serviced. Tested and works. Good cord. Has the usual light hum. Good white print but does have wear to the white in places as you can see. Circuit breakers work. The bottom metal plate and the back plate both show some oxidation. Case has signs of use and rubs.
