Seems like the "Hudson" was often the ultimate in toy trains in the prewar era. This shell is for American Flyer's O gauge version of the classic locomotive. Flyer's version was really a TWO 6-4 early on instead of a 4-6-4. And actually, the first year, they disguised the rear trucks (two wheels in a four wheel frame).
This steam locomotive shell for your prewar American Flyer is one of the more desirable. This shell has been painted (maybe primed?). As you can see, it needs paint restoration but it does have some of the top trim work, and it is structurally good.
CONDITION: Parts or restoration. Has been painted (perhaps primed). A few paint nicks, so it is not perfect, but it does look good overall. The cowcatcher is broken on the front. No trim pieces expect for the one bell you see. AS IS. Pictures show it all.
