This is the log dump car you can run with anything for lots of fun--but it is also the one that was issued for use with the 751 log dump accessory. So if you have a beautiful log dump car-less log dump accessory, and you need an equally nice 717, you'll want this. Even if you don't, you'll want to add the action to your layout or the quality to your collection.
Or maybe you are trying to fill out a set from 1946. This is the one you want.
The 1946 version came with the track section that activated the truck with the inside truck power pick up. This is before the use of the 712 style accessory activation.
