1949 Version with drawbar
If you have been waiting, this is it. You are looking at an interesting American Flyer collector's item from 1949-1950. This is the classic postwar era steam engine, the Pacific style 4-6-2 steam engine. It is one of the harder to find engines. Also known as a K-5, this was a classic of the Pennsy. This one is the version from 1949 with the drawbar between the loco and tender.
- Die Cast
- Link Coupler
- Whistle tender
- With whistle control box dated OCT 1949
- With instructions, showing wear and fray
What a unique addition to your collection.
**CONDITION: Really between C7 and C8. With control box for whistle. Looks GREAT. Strong printing. Beautiful all the way around. Tested and runs, smokes, etc. Whistle in tender tested and works, though it could probably use some lube or service. With Whistle Control Box, also in fantastic shape with strong printing, hardly any scratches, and a crisp date stamp on the underside. How often do you find this box this clean??
Also with original instructions. Instructions show some wear.
