Introduced in 1946, the 153 is a single-pole, double-throw track activator controlled by the weight of a passing train.
Interesting fact: It was originally constructed to work with the 153 block signal. It replaced the number 41 accessory contactor.
THIS ONE IS A MODERN REMAKE BY LIONEL FROM THE 1980s or 1990s. It is made from the exact same mold as the postwar one.
CONDITION: As you can see, this one is not packaged, but it looks as close to like new as you will find. May have a scratch or two from shelfwear.
