NOT one you see very often--get it while you can--
HARD TO FIND this CLEAN and BOXED
You are looking at a fantastic addition to your American Flyer collection. This is the collectible and hard to find Rio Grande Cookie Box Operating Walking Brakeman Box Car. You remember, the one where Smitty goes back and forth on the roof of the boxcar!
This is a classic postwar boxcar from the good old days... and it is one of the tougher ones to find in any condition. Lucky you, this one looks great...and comes with the original red and white top opening box. (That original hobby store price sticker on the box is too cool!)
AND it comes with the original TOP of the car cardboard sleeve to protect the roof with the line cut for the metal rod AND the original cardboard spacers to keep everything nice and tight!! AND the original instructions. How often do you see this car offered with all of this?
If you collect American Flyer and do not have it, this is a MUST HAVE.

CONDITION: C-7. Super CLEAN. Tested and working. Complete. Strong white coloring. The printing is mostly strong. To get very picky: the always delicate bottom corners have cracks; some signs of use. Catwalks are complete. The underside has a few stray scratches, but overall, cleaner underneath than most. The original brakeman is here and a little sticky, so we are including an EXTRA repro brakeman for you.
The BOX is missing one smaller inner side flap; box has rubs and a crease and does show the usual aging in the white. But the box is nicer than most for this car.
