You are looking at a super universal track lock on that was made BY MTH FOR LIONEL during the period when they were working together on the Lionel Corporation Tinplate Traditions line. It is the same as the MTH 1021 EXCEPT that it has the LIONEL LOGO on it instead of the MTH letters. That is the only difference. It is a little harder to come by than the MTH lettered version.
This one is for the traditional tubular style track. Has the light so you know there is power (and how much). Nice to have a power indicator. Snap this lighted lock-on into any manufacturer's tubular O, O-27 or standard gauge track section. The built-in lamp will light whenever power is applied to the rails providing an easy, illuminating reference to which track sections are powered up. Use it for ANY tubular track such as Lionel, Marx, Ives, whether standard or O or 027. It even works with the other tubular standard track by Gargraves and USA and others.
This one is in excellent shape without packaging. Clean.
