Here is a really useful book. This is Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains 1901-1942 Volume I: Standard Gauge 00 gauge, and 2 7/8. This book is chock full of information about collecting those pre World War 2 trains. Do you like to arrange your cars into sets? This book even has a seciton on CATALOGUED SETS. It is a hardcover. Tons of pics. Great index. 128 pages.
