BOXED SET and NICE CONDITION
WOW--Here is a vintage Standard gauge passenger set that is over 100 years old. While this is a set made over a few years, based on this box, we can date it to 1919-1923. Ives called their standard gauge "wide gauge".
Collectors call this box the "cloud box" due to the pattern of the papewr on the cardboard. We can date the set to this era because Ives, like Lionel, used the "American Toys" phrase starting in 1919 to encourage American toy sales over German toy sales. Ives switched to the boy playing with trains box around 1924.
Ives released these cars in different colors, such as a dark green, like this one. It came in the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad line (NYC&HRRR).
As you can see, the set here comes withÂ

CONDITION: C-6+ perhaps some C-7. Hard to find this set still glossy and clean. Decent print. All couplers and trucks. Cars do have some paint nicks, scratches and flaking in spots. Print is really nice for these, but not perfect. Engine serviced and running, lighting. Has some scratches in printing on one side. The box is in tact with a good end label. There is shelfwear and handling wear to the box, some softness especially to the corners--heck it is over 100 years old! Pictures show it all.
SHIPPING INCLUDES INSURANCE AND MAY INCLUDE SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION.
We have more prewar and much more Standard gauge up right now so check them all out.
