SCARCE TCA Convention Banquet Car in 1997
Here is a K-Line car that is pretty tough to come by. As you may know, the Train Collectors Association banquet cars are usually produced in numbers under 100. How it works: You attend the convention banquet, you sit at a table with ten people. Only ONE of you will walk away with the Banquet Car. They are among the most desired items among TCA members.
The 1997 Train Collectors Association National Convention in Arizona had an Arizona and California Railroad theme going on. There were a few cars released as fund raisers and as official convention cars, all meant to form a set. We have the crane and boom cars in our other listings right now.
But the cherry on the top, the hardest car to come by, was this scarce banquet boxcar only available if you were a lucky winner at the banquet.
(Check out our other listings for the rare setput out at the same time as Magma Arizona Railroad set, also a limited TCA item).
CONDITION: C-9 looks like it may never have left the box. Box is crisp but shows a little bit of shelfwear.
