You are looking at a vintage 90 watt transformer that comes with direction control as well as whistle control. It was a big step up from the 25-45 watt transformers that came with many sets.

This is a fine transformer to use with any postwar set whether Marx, Lionel, even American Flyer. And those black and orange handles really take you back!

CONDITION: C-6. Tested and works. Faceplate shows wear. Shell looks nice, but to be very picky: it has a few rubs and scratches and what appears to be a small melt mark; the handles have some dings, and the base is slightly bent. Cord is original and has been inspected--it is pliable and safe. With a copy of the original instructions.
