Here is the classic Postwar GG-1 made 1947-49.
This is the 2332 Pennsylvania GG-1 that came in two versions: black and Brunswick Green. This unit is running and honking just like it should. It still has the plastic honk box used on this engine only--BEFORE they went to the more common metal horn such as they used in the F3s.
Cometically, it is a beauty--hard to tell if it is original or a very professional repaint and redecalling. I tend to lean toward repaint, but wow is it a good one of so. The stripes, keystones, and Pennsylvania lettering all look fantastic (read condition notes below).
Great with anything, but especially with those classic Heavyweight "Madison" cars.

CONDITION: C-7. Tested and runs, reverses, and honks. This one is beautiful cosmetically. Seems original, but if it is a repaint or re-stamped/decalled, it is one of the best I have ever seen. Stripes and keystones and lettering are fantastic. Pantographs show some oxidation. Some of the insulators are repro. Some paint nicks here and there, pictured: along the bottom edge. One scratch on the edge of the roof. A rub or two in the striping as pictured.
