Here is one of the harder to find postwar Lionel items: the Great Northern EP-5 from 1959. This one is serviced and running as it should.
Interesting fact: While the engine bears the railroad number 2358 on the sides, the numberboards actually read 375. This is one of the few postwar era Lionel items that had a different number on it than the official catalog number.

CONDITION: C-7. Cleaned and lubed. Horn works. Tested and runs well. Some paint chips and rubs revealing the gray plastic body underneath--especially along the bottom edge and along the wrap around nose decal edges. The end decals are likely reproduction based on the paint loss along the edges of the decal. Upon very close inspection, I believe the top/roof green may be a nice repaint--a good match to the bottom. Pantographs show some wear. Redecalled on each nose end I believe. NO BOX.
